"Bar El Chino" A moving Argentine film about a neighborhood bar with a warmth and spirit that inspires its patrons. The plot centers on Martina, a young network television editor who decides to make a documentary about the bar. Her first night there she meets Jorge Garces--El Chino--who at one time had plans of his own to capture the beloved nightspot on film, but became sidetracked by a lack of finances. When Martina and Jorge team up, a beautiful film and a new relationship are realized. Winner of the Best First Film for Daniel Burak at the 2004 Argentine Film Critics Association Awards.
