This riveting film by Leopoldo Torre Nilsson deals with the life of Martin Fierro. Drafted into military service, he is assigned to work for the commander. When he returns home, his wife and family are gone. As he descends into depression, he kills a black man during a drunken fight, and is forced to flee. Together with his friend Cruz, he lives in an Indian encampment in relative safety. Spanish with English subtitles.
