"L'Humanite" An ambiguous study in
human nature. The story follows an awkward, small town policeman as he
investigates the rape and murder of a young girl. His sad life is
preoccupied by a sexually active neighbor and her boyfriend, but his
seemingly empty daily rituals mask deep pain and dark secrets. Winner of
the Grand Prize of the Jury, Best Actor and Best Actress at Cannes.
