Matthew Modine plays a novice Canadian film producer
who sees his artistic vision stained by Big Hollywood in this satirical
look at the Canadian film industry in the 1980's. After buying the rights
to a beloved Canadian novel, Bobby (Modine) sets out to turn it into
cinematic gold. Unfortunately, in order to secure financing, he needs an
American star. That's where his troubles begin. Also stars Jennifer Tilly,
Alan Bates, and Deborah Unger. 88 minutes. |
