this South American film festival favorite that puts a human face on the
harsh social realities of present day Colombia. Set amidst a civil war, two
brothers - one a soldier, the other a guerilla - are fighting on opposing
sides in the Colombian jungle. When the woman they share is forced to
abandon her village, she leaves for the city in hopes of finding a better
life for her and her child. However, without shelter and no one to fall back
on, they are at the mercy of the city when night falls. Riveting, heartfelt,
and honest. Spanish with English subtitles.
