The great cinematographer Sven Nykvist, known best for his many collaborations with Ingmar Bergman, is the subject of this affectionate documentary made by his son. The film highlights some of the major accomplishments of Nykvist's career as well as some of the pivotal events in his personal life, but maintains a quiet intimacy, never resorting to sensationalism. Includes anecdotes and insights from Bergman, Liv Ullmann, Bibi Andersson, Woody Allen, Vittorio Storaro, Roman Polanski, Vilmos Zsigmond, Pernilla August, Richard Attenborough, Gena Rowlands, Susan Sarandon, Melanie Griffith, and others.
