The final part of Aki Kaurismaki's "Proletarian Trilogy" is a bleak portrait of contemporary Helsinki. The tale focuses on Iris (Kati Outinen), a sad-eyed factory woman who seeks the ultimate revenge on the caustic parents who brutalized her and the wealthy architect who sexually humiliated her. With Elina Salo, Esko Nikkari, Vesa Vierikko and Reijo Taipole. Finnish with English subtitles. On the same program is Those Were the Days (1992, 5 mins.), a video of the idiosyncratic Finnish rockers The Leningrad Cowboys.
