In his second directorial effort, Gerard Depardieu collaborates with Frederic Auburtin to craft a convincing portrayal of the price of adultery. Depardieu also stars in the film, playing a middle-aged laborer whose beautiful wife (Carole Bouquet) falls in love with the engineer of her husband's latest construction job. Modest yet very moving, The Bridge is a realistic depiction of a relationship torn apart. Also starring Charles Berling. French with English subtitles.  92 minutes.
