A young French engineer is sent to Sweden to build a road. There he encounters an enchanting fairy nymph (Marina Vlady). In reality, she is just a country girl raised in isolation, but the townspeople ostracize her as a witch. These fears spell tragedy for the young love which grows between the Frenchman and the sorceress. French with English subtitles.  91 minutes.
