"The Deathmaker" This is the most factual film based on the crimes of the notorious killer Fritz Haarmann, who was one of the models for Peter Lorre's character in Fritz Lang's masterpiece M as well as the subject of Ulli Lommel's The Tenderness of the Wolves. This claustrophobic drama uses the original transcripts from Haarmann's interrogation as it explores the killer's motives and gruesome methods. Gotz George stars as Haarmann.
