A young girl must choose between adhering to her family's strict ways or following her dreams to become a football star like her hero, David Beckham, in this upbeat, coming-of-age comedy from England. Jess (Parminder Nagra) feels pressure from her traditional Indian family to go to law school and marry a nice Indian boy. She wants to play ball, though, and after meeting Jules (Keira Knightley), a local player on a semi-pro team, Jess thinks that she might have a chance to succeed. Also stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
