The friendship between two childhood friends is tested in this political drama from Miklos Jancso. After an abortive attempt by the Communists to seize power in 1919 Hungary, the authorities set out to find the insurgents. A lone Communist takes refuge in a rural area with a family, unaware that his friend, an army officer, knows his whereabouts. Hungarian with English subtitles.  85 minutes.
