This hit launched a wave of '70s Indian melodramas in which the hero endures a terminal illness throughout the length of the film. Rajesh Khanna stars as a man battling terminal intestinal cancer who inspires others with his actions, as he determines to enjoy his remaining days as much as possible, despite his physical pain. Also stars Amitabh Bachchan. Music by Salil Choudhury also contributed to the film's success. Hindi with English subtitles. 122 minutes.
