Goran Paskaljevic (Cabaret Balkan) reimagines a classic Chinese tale as a 1920's Irish tragicomedy full of vivid characters and period style. Colm Meaney is brilliant as Harry Maloney, a bitter father looking to broker the marriage of his son Gus (Cillian Murphy). Unfortunately Harry has made an enemy of the town's matchmaker, and he'll have to swallow his pride if he wants to give his son what he so desperately wants. Meaney earned an IFTA Award for his performance, and "the rest of the cast is uniformly excellent" (Chicago Reader). Originally titled How Harry Became a Tree.  100 minutes.
