"Borstal Boy"

Based on Brendan Behan's
coming-of-age story, Borstal Boy follows Behan's days in a tough
boys' reform school, where he served time for transporting explosives
intended for use in an IRA bombing. In spite of his confinement, he
manages to discover a love of literature and romance with both a male
schoolmate and the warden's daughter. Shawn Hatosy stars as Behan, with
Michael York as the warden. Director and co-writer Peter Sheridan is the
brother of Jim Sheridan (My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father).
