"The Family" Nominated for Best
Foreign film, this Ettore Scola drama about 80 years in the life of a middle-class family
in Rome has absolutely nothing to do with the Charles Bronson mafia movie of the same
name. Vittorio Gassman heads an abundant cast of Italian actors that include Stefania
Sandrelli and Ricky Tognazzi. Also non-Italian actors like Fanny Ardant and Philippe
Noiret. A note of interest: the camera never leaves the house. Italian with English
