When the anorexic young woman in apartment 302 mysteriously disappears, a detective visits her neighbor in 301 - a newly divorced gourmet cook who's addicted to food - to start the investigation. In flashbacks, the relationship between the two women is seen developing as the startling secret of what happened in 302 is revealed.
