This highly original
black comedy follows a listless, socially inept and hygienically
challenged Oslo postman whose life takes a turn when he indulges his
voyeuristic tendencies. Finding keys left in the mailbox of a young, deaf
woman who lives near him, he enters her apartment and studies its
contents. He repeats his spying, becoming more and more infatuated with
the woman, but when he makes his presence known he unwittingly crosses the
path of his neighbor's dangerous criminal associate. This often hilarious
feature makes the most of its odd central character and his bleak
surroundings. Norwegian with English subtitles. 83 minutes.
