Set in a provincial town in Russia, this disturbingly realistic film depicts the slaughter of the political enemies of the Bolsheviks.  In 1917, C.H.E.K.A., the secret police predecessor of the KGB, unleashed a reign of terror on all those considered enemies of the revolution. We watch, stunned, as the Cheka officers round-up all people who are in any way contrary to the Bolshevik agenda (Christians, Jews, former aristocrats etc.) and execute them. Russian with English subtitles.
