Gunnar Bjornstrand, Ingrid Thulin and Anders Ek star as members of a small touring company of actors in this chamber drama.  Trapped in a legal nightmare for an allegedly obscene variety show, the performers are faced with a sadistic judge who uses the opportunity to ruthlessly examine their personal lives. A brilliant look at the relationship of the artist to society, with a powerful performance from Thulin as the unhappy, alcoholic actress. Swedish with English subtitles.  75 minutes.
