The first full-length film covering Tibetan medicine and healing practices, The Knowledge of Healing bridges the gap between Eastern and Western ideologies by detailing the principles and practice of one of the most highly developed medical systems in the world. Focusing on the work of Dr. Tenzin Choedrak, personal physician to the 14th Dalai Lama, the film examines the differences between the holistic approach of Tibetan healing and the more technological and invasive methods of Western medicine. An important and informative look at an established and spiritual alternative to our notions of wellness. Tibetan, Russian, German, English and Swiss dialect with English subtitles.  93 minutes.
