A journalist and his novelist friend research the story of a girl who was accused of shooting and wounding her uncle. Bulle Ogier delivers a disarming performance as the rare but tough and independent factory worker who confounds the two intellectuals with her inner revolt. Priceless for a scene in which Ogier, now a sales girl in a shoe shop, begins to caress the legs of her customers--funny, absurd, shocking, erotic. A unique film.
